My Trip to Taiwan

My trip to Taiwan all started when we had to rush to Taiwan for a family emergency because my grandpa was sick. My mom and I were very worried, so we decided to rush to take care of my grandpa in the hospital. My mom went to the hospital a few times, but I couldn’t go because I was too young. The first day was very boring because my cousins and I only stayed at home and had nothing to do. My cousins are nine and ten. We stayed at my grandparents’ house in Kaohsiung for almost a month. On the next day, my mom, my cousins,

and I went to a friend's coffee where I worked on my homework. Then on Friday, I went to a mall and an arcade while my cousins went to an indoor playground. There were a lot of toy vending machines with cool toys in them. I didn’t like any of them. My mom also took me to a giant stationary shop, and I bought supplies I needed for sixth grade. It had three stories. Then we went to eat dinner at a dumpling place. My cousins and I thought it was delicious. I had noodles, dumplings, and some vegetables. We went to a huge mall 40 minutes away from home. We got there by subway which was very cool. It was very fun there. It had sports places like indoor baseball, basketball, bowling, and air hockey. The sports place was especially exciting because my cousins and I had a competition to see who got the most points on bowling. We were trying to beat each other. At the end though I won, but we were all very happy.

When it was my last week in Kaohsiung, there was a typhoon that hit Taiwan. It was raining cats and dogs. When I went to seven eleven, there was a lot of rain and wind so much that my umbrella almost broke. It was very fun weather. In the middle of the night all of a sudden, the wind and rain kept hitting the window next to my bed and woke my mom and me.

On my flight home there was a lot of turbulence. It was a 14 hour flight back home. The plane also had to fly around the typhoon in Okinawa. But I fell asleep before the plane took off. After what seemed like forever I finally arrived in Los Angeles where my dad picked us up. Then I finally got to play with my pets again.

About a week later I started school. The first day of school was very fun and I made a lot of new friends. I also got to meet my new teachers. There are 28 kids in my class. I had a very fun first week.
