Trapped

This is how it all began. I was going on a field trip to Big Bear for one week with my school. We all packed in the bus on a cold winter morning eager to go on the trip. When we got to the camp, I picked a partner to be with. I picked my best friend, Elisa. It started to get really cold and started to snow. The next day when we woke up the snow was up to my ankles. Five days went by and the snow became higher and higher. The next day the teacher told us there was a blizzard warning. So we had to pack our belongings because we had to leave before the blizzard came.

One thing we did not know was that the blizzard had already started when we were sleeping. So we were trapped in Big Bear. For three days we had to stay in a cozy cabin. Good thing I had my friend. On the first morning that we were trapped, a lost dog came to my cabin. His name was Ball. He was cold and wet so we decided to keep him. He made us feel comfortable and not scared. But I missed my parents because it had been ten days already.

He whole fifth grade was trapped on Big Bear Mountain. After about three more days, the blizzard still hadn’t stopped. Also, the food supplies were not enough to feed the whole fifth grade and one dog. While the blizzard was still going on Elisa and I decided to create a game to play. It was called Guess What I Am Thinking. We played it for a long time, but we got bored so we decided to go to sleep. Since all the food in the town ran out, a helicopter had to drop food on our doorstep.

Finally, after four more days, the blizzard stopped, and it only snowed a little bit. When we first went outside it looked so beautiful, but then a freezing wind blew towards us and made us run back to the cabin. One problem: all the roads were covered in snow so we still couldn’t get out of the mountains. Then a helicopter flew over and came to rescue us. Elisa and I decided that I should keep the dog. I ended up naming him Ball. Once we got down we took a school bus to our school where we finally met our parents. When I met my parents it was the happiest moment ever because I hadn’t seen them in forever. At the end we went home and I petted all of my pets. This is how I got trapped on Big Bear Mountain.
